Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If you have any questions in relation to BeeRaider’s products, then before contacting us, be sure to first check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) below for a possible answer. Reading these answers at the outset will definitely save you a lot of time and effort.
FAQ1. Can I type characters for other languages on your keyboards?
Yes you can. You can easily create a wide range of non-English characters (e.g. French, German, Spanish and other languages) using a number of methods available with our keyboards. Learn all about it here.
FAQ2. When will BeeRaider release a Blue-tooth portable version of their Radial Keyboard design?
This would likely be our second physical product, which we would look to launch as a follow-up to our PC wireless desktop keyboard.
FAQ3. Why is your current Android Keyboard App not free?
We originally conceived it as a virtual prototype for use as a proof-of-concept for our Radial Keyboard design. Our intention is to upgrade it for sale before deciding on giving the current version away for free.
FAQ4. Are your wireless keyboards compatible with Apple computer products?
Our physical keyboard products are 2.4GHz desktop wireless keyboards. Being wireless desktop PC keyboard and mouse combo sets, they are specifically designed to operate with WinTel PCs. This means PCs running Windows operating systems: 7, 8.0/8.1, 10.0 and greater. Because they don’t have Apple specific command-keys, we don’t promote them for use with Apple devices. Our currently supplied keyboard-driver for installation to enable extended programmable-keys (5) based features like macro programming and other additional function-key related features, will only work for WinTel PCs.
So, our combo-sets will work with Apple devices but the keyboard will function as a basic keyboard only. If you are happy to forego the aforementioned extended features then your MAC would need a spare USB port for the unifying transceiver that works with our keyboard and mouse.
Caveat; we haven’t tested our keyboards with Apple devices, though we have sold a limited number of them to MAC users with the above information being understood. So, if you wish to proceed with a purchase based on this information then the decision is yours. Note that we cannot support any Apple device related queries.
FAQ5. What can I do if I have a problem installing BeeRaider’s Android Keyboard App?
Firstly, try following the instructions for the ‘App installation’ found here. If this fails then drop us a message using the ‘Support’ submission form found here.
FAQ6. The nano-receiver appears to be missing in my new combo-set?
The nano-receiver is stored in the battery compartment of the keyboard when shipped. It’s recommended that you store it here for safety in transit or when not using your keyboard for a prolonged period of time.
FAQ7. How do I obtain a continuous line of a given character when using the green and blue dot-keys?
Let’s say that you wanted a continuous line of ‘+’ characters. Just momentarily press the blue-dot key once then press AND HOLD the ‘X’ key where the ‘+’ character is located. Hold the key for as long as is required to obtain the continuous line of ‘+’ characters.
FAQ8. How do I activate the RED (dead) keys. I have the US keyboard driver installed?
A couple of examples follow:
To obtain the double quote character (“); press the blue-dot key momentarily and then press the ‘O’ key. It’s in a blue-dot character position.
To obtain the single quote character (‘); press the green-dot key momentarily and then press the ‘O’ key. It’s in a green-dot character position.
The rest (of the RED dead-keys) are likewise obtained.
Note that this works in a similar way with the US International keyboard driver installed, except that you must press a follow-on character for the (RED dead-key) character to appear. Note that a ‘space-character’ is also a valid follow-on character, whenever you just want the (RED dead-key) character to appear on its own. You should also read page 37 of the User Guide.

FAQ11. Do we have a Radial Keyboard App for Apple iPhone and iPads?
Not at present. However, now that Apple has allowed third party changes to be made to their IOS system in their recently released version 8, we expect to provide a Radial Keyboard App for Apple products sometime in the future.
FAQ12. How do I know the status of the lockable keys: Caps Lock, Num Lock, etc.?
Because there are no status lights for these keys, the simple answer is that you can’t unless, a) you remember the status, which we agree isn’t very practical, but, you can also b), install a useful utility such as ‘TrayStatus’ (https://www.traystatus.com/), which will keep track of the condition of these keys (and more). You can download and install the simpler free version of this utility or pay for a more advanced version. It will show you the condition of these keys in the system-tray at the bottom-right of your display. Each key will be color highlighted when ON and not when OFF. You’ll find such a utility very useful.
